Fifteen minutes into my latest radio show, my guest star Mr. Fabulous said, "you know this actually a fairly intelligent show so far today" as if he were pleasantly shocked. I have to say that I was tickled to hear him say that because I am really trying to be a more active host and engage my guest to the fullest. That being said, sometimes Snackie Radio is just going to be the zoo of "cockfest" that it always seems to become but I am making a very concentrated effort to make sure everyone feels happy and welcome after spending an hour in my sweet sweet embrace. I think we had a wonderful show and I cannot think Fab enough for being my guest. At one point in time, we were joined by both Karl and Turnbaby (shocker!) and let me tell you, this show zig-zagged around many different topics, but in a very non-confusing way. If I had to add tags to the show, they would be:
comment stats/blog circles/blog comments/avitable's halloween party/
merchandising ourselves/dying/crying/sex/fab is fucking turnbaby/
hilly is a better driver than fab/dave's tiara/pms
But hey, why don't you listen to the show for yourselves? Of course, I am adding the player to this post but there are many other ways that you can enjoy Snackie Radio. The best way is to listen live, however since the whole world does not seem to revolve around me, you can also go here to listen to or download the show. You can ALSO sign up for the Snackie Radio RSS feed and each show will dump into your feed reader each week. There's also a way to make it feed directly to your iTunes. but I don't know how! All you have to do is search for "Snackie Radio" in the iTunes Podcast Directory then hit "subscribe"!
Please join me next week when SeƱor Sexytat (yes, I changed it), more commonly referred to as "Vahid from Iron Fist", talks to me about freestylin' whatever ;). He's a great guy that I'm sure none of you will want to miss!
Until then, enjoy what is left of your three day weekend. For the record, I've been enjoying my down time this weekend but promise that Monday morning belongs to blog reading and commenting! Thanks again to everyone who helps make both my radio show and blog very special and happy places. I believe we'll be hitting that 15,000th comment sometime this week so don't forget to bring a towel stop by!
Oingo Boingo Kisses,
Me
It was a great show! I really enjoyed it. The stuff about the tiara had me howling with laughter. Dave's indignation totally makes me laugh. You do an awesome job on your show, Hilly!

A better driver?
Listen, Sweetie Pie, I am the best driver you know.
One does not drive in Southern California. One sits in traffic.
You put me anywhere: New York, Boston, Miami, in a snowstorm, in an ice storm, in a hurricane, during a plague of raining frogs...trust me, Cookie Pants, you want the F-Man behind the wheel.
Oh, and bank jobs. I am a totally kick ass wheel man, Sugar Tits.
Enjoy your nicknames. No charge. Muah!

If anyone does know how to get the radio shows directly into iTunes I would be thrilled. The shows are on during the night (my time) so I always miss them and don't always get time to catch up. Having them on my iPhone would be super cool!
I'm glad you enjoyed your down time - as it's pissing with rain here today I think we'll be doing a bit of that ;o)

I listened in last night and y'all had me cracking up. It was a great show!

Winter: Don't tell Davey-Joe, but it amuses me to no end when he gets worked up too ;).
Furiousball: Merci!
Mr. Drunkulous: Hahaha, wow...calma te! I think we should have a "drive off" kinda like in Grease. I wonder if you can get TB to take off her scarf, stand between our cars, and yell "GO!".
Penelope: If no one answers how today, I will hunt them down and kill them. Or...I may try to figure it out myself...but you see, iTunes and I don't get along as well as I'd like us too, that bastard ;).
Lady Jaye: Yay, glad you could laugh a bit yesterday! If you ever want to be on, say the word!

I think you drive a more powerful car than I do.
Tell you what...bumper cars, baby. THERE is the true measure of a driver.

Funny you should mention a towel. Sunday, when you wrote this, was Towel Day. Towel Day is the anniversary of the death of Douglas Adams, author of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe." He was very big on towels apparently.
I just learned this and had to share. No, I don't know why.

sorry i missed most of the show yesterday. it was a wonderful day, but i missed too much btr. sigh.
finn doesn't know why towels are so important? douglas adams considered them one of the most useful items around: towels can be used as a pillow, a blanket for warmth, you can lie on them in the sand, towels can be distress signals, they can be sails, you can wrap them around your face to ward of noxious smells, if they are clean enough you can dry yourself with them, plus anyone who knows where their towel is clearly a force to be reckoned with. i'm sure there are more uses, but i didn't put enough coffee in the baileys and coffee this morning. :)
ok, now i need to go read about towel day...

I really need to plan my Sundays better so I can listen live. I mean, it's nice to have it recorded for later listening.
And I do plan to pencil in a time to be a guest on your show. Just need to get past the month of June before I can commit to a time.

Hello - of course I know how important towels are. They help make sure that you don't have to sleep in the wet spot. Remember the wet spot? When The Pill was enough? Ahh... memories.
I just didn't didn't know about Towel Day until this morning. I'll have to mark my calendar too.

Shit, totally forgot about Towel Day! Great show last night, as usual. I'm trying to figure out the iTunes thing myself.

Hell yeah! I'll even jump up in the aira la Natalie Wood in Rebel Without a Cause!
Oh and did i mention that I am fucking Fabulous?

I made a promise to myself about a year & 1/2 ago not to check my blog stats at all, ever again, and haven't -- but now I want to know if I'm near a cool comment milestone!
The real question: will there be a prize for the 15,000th commenter? I vote for balloons dropping from the sky. And confetti.
